I often get asked what I love about photography and what I believe makes for a good picture and the answer is in short, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I personally love to capture a moment in time, it can be a brief look that someone gets when you ask them to think of a happy/sad/angry time in there life or just that moment when they believe that you are not watching them and they allow themselves to relax or think or share a quick joke with maybe someone they are shooting with, the most natural moments are the ones I find to be the most beautiful.
A client however may have a totally different perspective, for example in family shoots or baby photography, people will struggle to whittle the pictures down as to them every photo of there child will be beautiful in some way and quite often the photo I love the best will not be there favourite.
I have taken now to showing my partner certain images. He is in no way creative or artistic but I find his input invaluable when it comes to family shots as he will often say "I can see why you love the picture however if it was me...." Lol that's not to say I necessarily agree but I may do an edit with his adaption note just incase.
My great passion within the photography field is fine art and bespoke sessions. I love to get away from the studio and go to a location. I love natural light and the way it can change the whole ambience of the shoot and I love it when I get someone that wants to get the same outcome as you and works with you and that moment when you know that you are going to have too many images to choose from.
What is it that makes a beautiful picture? You tell me as I'd love to get your oppinions.
